Recipe: Summertime Strawberry Yogurt Pops

Perfectly cool for summer, the kids (and adults too!) will love these creamy frozen treats! You can use pretty much any berry or fruit for these, but our family's favorite is strawberry.

Berry Yogurt Pops

1 pint of Strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries
12 oz Vanilla Yogurt
2 Tbs. Honey
1 Cup Milk

Blend ingredients in a blender until smooth. Pour into popsicle molds, or if you don't have popsicle molds, pour into an empty ice tray, cover with plastic wrap and insert toothpicks into the middle of each cube. Place into freezer until frozen. Then enjoy!

Did you know?
*Berries contain antioxidants and polyphenols, which may reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and some cancers.
*Raw honey has antiseptic and antibacterial properties which result from it's low water content.
*Yogurt is rich in protein, calcium, riboflavin, Vitamin B6, and Vitamin B12

Sunshine on My Shoulders

The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and the kids are out of school. Summer is finally here! I, for one, am more than happy to be enjoying the warm rays of the sun. I personally spend the majority of the summer out in the yard gardening, doing projects, and just enjoying the day. I also love to entertain on the patio and host dinner parties and barbeques now that the evenings are nice. Come to think of it, there's not much about summer that I don't like, really. I have also been working on summer tips and recipes that I will be posting soon. Well I'm off to water my beautiful flowers. Here's to you and yours!
